The main beach of Carvoeiro is a small central beach with easy access.
Algar Seco
An interesting rock formation where you can see the strength of sea. There is no Sandy beach but you can swim and dive here.
Vale de Centianes (2 km from Carvoeiro centre)

Benagil
Beach with restaurant facilities and backed by cliffs.
As well called Smuggler beach or cove. Very pretty little beach with access through a tunnel.
Praia Albandeira (near Benagil)
A cosy two-part beach with nice cliff formations. From this beach you can make excursion to the caves by little boats. Just wave the boats passing by and they will pick you up. Well worth it. Take your camara.
Praia Marinha (near Benagil)
One of the most beautiful beaches in the area, reached by steps. You can park on top of the cliffs and the steps lead you down to the beach. Restaurant facilities.
Praia dos Caneiros
Pretty beach ( between Sesmarias and Ferragudo) Buce beach bar /restaurant

Big beach with beach-Volleyball and football facilities , 3 restaurants, wind-surfing school.
Armação de Pêra

In the holiday resort “Quinta do Paraiso” you will find the german leaded diving school (Divers cove)
Golf
In Carvoeiro and surroundings you find firstclass Golf courses like Pinta and Gramacho or Vale de Milho Golf all with golf school facilities.
Tennis
The Carvoeiro Tennis Club gives you the opportunity to play and/or take tennis lessons (individual or group-lessons available ) Aerobic , Fitness and Cosmetic treatments are also available.
You will find a windsurf school at Praia Grande in Ferragudo. For professional surfers we recommend the west-coast (Vila do Bispo area) Which is a 40 minute drive from your holiday location.
Horse-riding
Near the international school you will find the horse-riding school “Quinta da Gil “ Were you can book excursions or lessons as well.
Excursions with children
There are many spectacular things to do with children. For example the “Zoomarine “ with its great dolphin shows (you can swim with the dolphins as well) and a lot more entertainment.
